Adult Workforce & Career Services SENPH's Career Service & Training program is committed to helping migrant and seasonal farmworkers gain the skills and support needed to achieve long-term financial independence.

We offer personalized career counseling, skills assessments, and job search assistance tailored to the unique needs of farmworkers.

Our comprehensive program includes a variety of training opportunities, such as on-the-job training, basic skills development, and integrated occupational skills courses. With a focus on building economic self-sufficiency, SENPH provides the guidance and resources necessary for sustainable employment opportunities.

  • Our program serves migrant and seasonal farmworkers. To be eligible, you must be a farmworker or a dependent of a farmworker, be legally authorized to work in the United States, and meet certain income criteria. Specifically, you must have worked in agriculture within the last 24 months and be considered low-income according to federal guidelines.

  • No, our services are provided at no cost to eligible participants. This includes all career counseling, job search assistance, training programs, and supportive services.

  • We offer various training programs including vocational skills training, on-the-job training, apprenticeships, and basic skills education. Examples include Commercial Driver's License (CDL) training, healthcare certifications, welding, HVAC repair, and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. The specific training available may vary based on current funding and local job market needs.

  • The length of participation varies depending on individual needs and goals. Some services, like resume writing assistance, may be completed in a few sessions. Training programs typically last from a few weeks to several months. We work with each participant to create a personalized plan that fits their timeline and objectives.

  • Yes, we assist participants in exploring various career paths, including opportunities outside of agriculture. Our goal is to help you find stable, year-round employment that matches your skills and interests, whether that's in agriculture or another industry.
